Teen Is Back Behind Bars In Pulaski County

Police say a Pulaski county teen who shot her father in 2010 has violated her probation and is now back behind bars. Danielle Carmack, now 18-years old, was arrested by US Marshals last week, November 21st. So, how will Carmack serve out her sentence?

More than two years after her son Richard Carmack was killed by his daughter, Danielle, Alice Carmack said the painful memories are still there.

“Oh Lord yeah, it’s just best for me not to talk about it, it hurts so bad,” stated Alice Carmack.

It was a summer day in August 2010, Alice’s son, Richard, had just called to say he was coming over, but he never did. For 16-years, he raised his daughter Danielle alone but investigators say the two got into a heated argument that August day, and Danielle shot her father.

“She killed my son. She killed him. Shot him 5 times in the back of the head,” exclaimed Alice Carmack.

The Pulaski County Coroner said Danielle used a 9mm handgun to shoot her father, leaving him for dead on the couch. She eventually pleaded guilty to manslaughter and was sentenced to 8-years in prison, but was released on probation.

Alice Carmack said she heard through the grapevine her granddaughter was back in jail, but the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office said they’ve yet to learn exactly how she violated her probation.
