Funeral arrangements announced for Louisville officer

Louisville, KY (WTVQ) – The details for visitation, memorial and funeral arrangements for Officer Nick Rodman, of Louisville, have been released.

According to a press release from Southeast Christian Church:

Funeral services for the late Nick Rodman, Louisville Metro Police
Department officer, will be held on Tuesday April 4 at 11:00 a.m. at the Blankenbaker
Campus of Southeast Christian Church at 920 Blankenbaker Parkway.

Rodman, who had served the department for more than three years, died at 3:40 p.m.
Wednesday after his police cruiser was struck during a pursuit in west Louisville around
8:00 p.m. on Tuesday night.

Officiating at the service will be Bill Weedman, a retired LMPD officer of 30 years, who
currently serves as a volunteer chaplain for the department. Weedman presently serves as
the Campus Support Pastor at Southeast’s Indiana Campus; he has been on staff with the
church for the past 7 years. Also scheduled to speak at the memorial are Mayor Fischer,
Police Chief Conrad, and Rick Beahl, retired Jeffersontown police officer and friend of the

Public visitation will be held at Arch L Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home on Monday, April
3, with public visitation from 12-7p.m. Heady Funeral Home at Resthaven is located at 4400

Burial and Graveside service will immediately follow the Funeral Service on Tuesday April 4
